Commercial conditions for the rental of private houses / guest rooms and hotel services

I. Description of the Services Offered
1. Service Description
You must carefully read the Description of the Service offered before placing an order. The description of the Services and/or Products sets out the essential characteristics of the Services and/or Products in accordance with Article L.111-1 of the French Consumer Code.
These descriptions are designed to provide you with the most complete information possible regarding these characteristics, without being exhaustive. Photographs, drawings and descriptions of the Services offered are provided for information purposes only and are not contractually binding.
2. Instructions for Use and Liability
You are invited to refer to the information and instructions for use provided by our team and service providers and/or appearing on packaging, labels and/or accompanying documents for each product or service you use.
We cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from failure to comply with these instructions for use of the Services offered on our website or by any third-party provider supplying related services or products.
II. Private House Rental and Hotel Services
1. Reservation Process
You may book the private house / guest room rental Services that we offer via our Site or Services in accordance with these Conditions.
You may select the available accommodation and other hotel services you intend to book by making the appropriate selections (for example, arrival and departure dates, type of rental, cleaning fees and other hotel services) and adding them to your basket by clicking the relevant buttons. The prices we charge are displayed on the Site or Services.
2. Pricing Policy
We reserve the right to modify at any time the prices of rental and hotel services displayed (provided that only the amount agreed before any price modification is charged), and to correct any pricing errors that may inadvertently occur, with effect for the future.
Additional information regarding prices, value-added tax (VAT) at the applicable rate, and other applicable taxes, duties or fees is available on the Site during the booking process and in the booking summary.
Prices include VAT at the applicable rate and other mandatory taxes, duties and fees. They do not include local taxes payable in accordance with applicable law, such as tourist taxes, which may be requested upon arrival if not paid in advance and subject to legal requirements.
Prices are invoiced in the local currency of the accommodation.
3. Booking Confirmation
Before clicking the “Booking subject to payment” button, all selected hotel services, including the total price, will be displayed again in a booking summary. You may identify and correct any input errors before final validation.
By clicking the “Booking subject to payment” button, you place a firm order to reserve the rental and hotel services on the selected dates.
Your booking request may only be submitted if you have accepted these Conditions by ticking the relevant checkbox.
You will receive an automatic email confirming receipt of your booking request. This confirmation only acknowledges receipt and does not constitute acceptance of the booking.
A legally binding agreement is concluded only when we send you an acceptance notice by email after receipt of payment of the required amounts.
We reserve the right not to accept your booking request. However, where an immediate payment method is offered and selected (for example electronic transfer or instant PayPal transfer), the binding agreement is concluded once you complete the booking process.
4. Additional Booking Conditions
Displayed prices are average rates per night and per person until a specific rate is selected. Meals or additional services are included only if expressly stated.
Minimum stay requirements, deposits, cancellation fees or other specific conditions may apply depending on the selected rate.
Private house rentals are subject to maximum occupancy limits as indicated at the time of booking.
The rented property includes all accessories and equipment necessary for the proper enjoyment of your stay as detailed in the listing. These items are entrusted to you for responsible use. Any damage will be invoiced following a joint inventory inspection and will require immediate payment.
You may save your preferred payment method for future use. In this case, payment details will be stored in accordance with applicable industry standards (e.g. PCI DSS).
III. Energy Consumption (Water, Electricity and Firewood)
All our accommodation is eco-designed. Terre de Glisse operates under a sustainability charter for the preservation of living ecosystems.
Each guest is expected to respect the following consumption limits:
1. Electricity
3 kWh/day/person included.
Additional consumption charged at €0.45/kWh from May to October and €0.80/kWh from November to April.
2. Water
60 litres/day/person included.
Additional consumption charged at €0.008 per extra litre.
3. Firewood
0.03 cubic metres/day/accommodation from May to October.
0.06 cubic metres/day/accommodation from November to April.
Additional consumption charged at €180 per cubic metre pro rata.
IV. Parking Space
One free parking space is allocated per accommodation. Guests must park only in the designated space. For additional vehicles, please contact us.
V. Check-in and Check-out Requirements
1. Standard Times
Check-in and check-out times are those indicated on our Site or Services unless otherwise specified at the time of contract conclusion.
2. Late Check-out
Late check-out is subject to availability and may be charged between 100% and 200% of the daily rate.
Late check-out is not guaranteed and must respect operational and housekeeping requirements. In case of unforeseen circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible.
VI. Payment and Security Deposit
1. Payment
All bookings are firm and final. The full amount must be paid in advance.
2. Security Deposit
The security deposit is payable upon arrival: 25% in cash and 75% by cheque, bank transfer or credit card pre-authorisation.
Any outstanding charges must be settled upon departure. Unused amounts from the deposit or pre-authorisation will be cancelled or refunded accordingly.
VII. Cleaning Fees
If you have not subscribed to the cleaning package, the property must be returned in the exact condition in which it was rented. Otherwise, a charge of €30/hour will apply.
If you have subscribed to the cleaning package, it covers a standard level of cleaning. Excess cleaning will be charged at €30/hour deducted from the security deposit.
VIII. Inventory Inspection
A joint inventory inspection will be carried out upon arrival.
Any discrepancy must be reported immediately. After check-in, you have 6 hours to report any unrecorded damage. Beyond this period, you may be held liable.
IX. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
1. Cancellation
All validated bookings are final.
In cases of duly justified force majeure and subject to our approval, and only if we are able to re-let the property for the reserved period, 70% of the amount received (excluding taxes and external services) will be refunded. The remaining 30% covers booking and administrative costs.
2. No-Show
If you fail to arrive within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in without prior written and telephone notice, the property will be re-listed and the full amount paid will be retained.
X. Modifications or Cancellation by Us
We may cancel the contract in the event of unforeseen circumstances preventing provision of the services (e.g. major damage caused by a previous tenant).
In such cases, the full amount paid will be refunded. No compensation will be payable.
Serious breaches of payment obligations, occupancy rules, house rules, neighbour respect, property damage, unauthorised parties, or unauthorised pets will result in immediate termination and eviction without refund. Additional damages may be claimed.
XI. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance resulting from force majeure or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, terrorism, fire, utility failures, technical breakdowns or structural collapse, provided no negligence on our part.
